Saturday 8th April …
Mum and Dad got me up early again, no surprises for guessing where we were off
to. It’s only been 4 days since we came back from the seaside and now we’re
back here again. I think Mum and Dad love it here, I’m not so keen and wish I
could stay in my comfy bed at home. Still, the sun’s out again and there are
lots of furry friends about the boatyard.
It’s a good walk along the main pontoon to the dinghy. It was
high water and there was a sail boat alongside. Dad asked the people onboard what
the depth of water was because he’s thinking about bringing Thesee onto the
scrubbing berth. Not this weekend though. We put the dinghy in the water and
Dad decided that Mum should steer it. Not sure if that’s a good idea….she can’t
even get the thing started. Anyway, after lunch I was having a snooze and Dad
was working. I heard him saying that he was going to do the big job of fitting
the new alternator. He had to get some super-duper cables made up and we
collected them on our way here this morning.
Mum went outside with the polish and said she was going to carry on cleaning the fibreglass around the helm. I went outside too and sat in my basket watching all this work going on. There’s been a lot of boats going past, up and down the river to Fareham, there’s always something to look at here but I only bark when I see a BIG dog. It’s my job to protect Mum and Dad. Some people think it’s cute when they see me in my lifejacket. I think I’m cute all the time.

They’ve hidden the camera from me so I couldn’t take any
photos today, I’ll have a look around for it again tomorrow, if not I’ll use
Dad’s iphone. He’s got some photos of me on it.
By the time I was ready for my dinner they still hadn’t
taken me for a walk. Dad’s moaning that the job he did isn’t working properly.
Let’s hope he can get it sorted out tomorrow, so I can get to go for a long
walk in the woods.
Sunday 9th
April… Good news, I found the camera this morning whilst Mum and Dad were
still in bed asleep. It seems when we’re here at the seaside we usually go
sailing, but not this weekend. The seats and floorboards were up and I heard
them talking about this alternator thing again. Dad’s not very happy because it’s
not doing everything it should do, and Mum wasn’t much help either. She just
tried to be useful by searching for solutions on the internet.
I know Dad will
get it sorted out in the end, he’s good like that. He gets a bit frustrated at
times, so I just keep out of the way in case he tells me to get in my basket. I’m
in it all night, so I don’t want to be in it all day! I was a good girl for Mum
and I peed on the pontoon for her. She’s been giving me a chocolate button
every time I do it.
Just before dinner time they took me ashore for a local walk in my favourite place…Wicor Copse. Once they let me off my lead there's a gap in i can sneak through into the woods.
I fit through this gap easily
I still had the camera, and I took some
photos of the bluebells. There were some white ones too. I found a tree stump so I jumped onto it and took a
selfie. I'm having such a great time.
First bluebells
I'm good at selfies aren't i?
First whitebells
We saw some horses and one of them came over to have a look at me. Mum read a notice saying we're not allowed to feed them. There's a footpath across the horse field which takes you to the beach. We don't go that way very often, but it looks pretty.

When we got
back to the boat I found out I’d got chicken for dinner, yum yum, so I took a
photo of it. Perhaps I’ll give the camera back to Mum tomorrow.
I'll have this eaten up in no time
Monday 10th April... I had a bit of a lie in this morning after my exciting day yesterday in the woods. It's so cosy in my basket underneath my fleecy blanket, i didn't want to get up. But i know once Mum puts her coat on then it's time for my walkies along the pontoon. It was the third sunny day in a row and Dad said the wind had gone round to the north. I don't know what he's talking about but Mum seems to understand him.
I left the camera where Mum could find it easily. They spent the day cleaning and polishing. Dad got in the dinghy and scrubbed the hull to get rid of the furry things growing along the waterline.
Be careful Dad
After lunch me and Mum sunbathed in the cockpit, and it was so warm i fell asleep on Mum's lap. Dad caught me snoozing when he looked over the side into the cockpit.
The new alternator's still not working properly, they reckon it's a faulty regulator. Dad said he's waiting for a replacement, and he's not going to say any more about it. I think he's a bit fed up with it all. We're going home tomorrow, but we'll be back here again soon for more Adventures of Thesee ⛵⛵⛵ xxx 🐕
